We know that there’s so much that goes into your big day and it’s so easy to lose yourself in all the details. Stressful, right? Any bride will most likely tell you that you have to start planning your wedding the second you become engaged and that it won’t end until you’re back from your honeymoon. Well, they’re right. But you can’t forget that it’s also one of the biggest moments of your life! So we want to give you a few wedding planning tips so you can still enjoy the excitement!

1 | Making a Timeline

Setting a timeline is super important when it comes to such important events like these. First figure out when you want to get married so you can set a timeframe. Getting married in seven months makes a huge difference from getting married in a year and half from now. Next, figure out your location, your engagement party, bachelorette party, bridal shower, and every other event leading up to your big day.

2 | ‘Guest’ How Many

Plan out a guestlist and get those addresses and RSVPs as soon as you can. Try to figure your headcount early on in the planning process so you can set all the wedding details for the events leading up, the ceremony, and the reception. An online address book is a good way to keep track of all your guests!

3 | Every Event is Just as Important as your Actual Wedding (Well, almost)

While each event shouldn’t be as glamorous and expensive as your actual wedding, you should still treat each event like it’s just as important. If you’re on point with every event, you’ll feel so much more organized and less stressed about your big day. Whether it’s planning the party decorations, the bachelorette party, the bridal shower, or even writing thank you notes, plan every detail like it’s just as special as your wedding day!

4 | Make It Your Party

This applies to every single detail of your wedding process. You want your big day of celebration to reflect you and your significant other. Always try to add a special touch to each of your events to let your true personalities shine. It’s your wedding, it should be all about you and the one you’ll be spending the rest of your life with! And it’ll definitely set your wedding apart from others.

5 | Makeup, Hair, and Wardrobe

Try to plan a wedding wardrobe for each of your events so you’re already prepared when the events come! You’ll be more comfortable and less stressed when you’re getting ready for all the parties. This will help you avoid any last-minute rushing on the day of.
