Wedding Round Up: Weekend of Nov 10th-12th

November 15, 2017

Happy Monday everyone!  I  think it is definitely safe to say that we have officially entered fall and are quickly moving our way into the winter season.  The temperature has finally caught up with us and it is absolutely freezing! Despite the low temperatures, we couldn’t be in higher spirits after our weddings over the past weekend! One of my favorite things in the entire world is to create and foster relationships with our brides that last far beyond their wedding day. Sometimes this comes when we meet a bridesmaid at a wedding and when they get engaged they request to have a certain stylist for their own wedding. But sometimes, the relationship with a bride and her bridal stylist go far beyond that, which was the case for Amanda and Sandy this weekend with bride Katie.

This weekend, Jane, Dana, and Janelle spent the day with Pam at the Commonwealth Club.  They started out nice and early and were down in the thick of all the marathon craziness!  Malory and Tai were at Fairview Farm with bride Shelley, while Khatera spent the day in the studio with her bride Alicia.  Amanda and Sandy headed to Saint Bridget’s Catholic Church to help Katie and her bridal party get ready for their big day!

Katie got in touch with the Glam Squad knowing exactly who she wanted to be there with her on that very special day, and it was her old friend Amanda!

Katie and Amanda met through their old jobs (I know! It’s crazy to think that Amanda wasn’t always a Glammie!  She used to be a probation officer for alcohol and drug offenders, a total opposite job!). Amanda and Katie were just names on the other side of a fax machine until one day they got to meet and just clicked!  So when Katie got engaged, she called Amanda right away and asked her if she could do her hair and makeup for the wedding, and of course Amanda said yes! Amanda was so excited to get to be there for Katie as her stylist and her friend and after putting the last swipe of lipstick over Katie’s lips and pinning her veil into her hair, Amanda got herself ready for the wedding because she was a guest as well!

It’s always special for us when brides invite us to stay for the ceremony because most times we leave the venue right before the action really begins and aren’t able to see the full picture of the bride and bridal party as they walk down the aisle. Amanda was so happy to be able to have a date night celebrating an old friend walking into her future. She said, “It was absolutely gorgeous. The whole day was perfect and Katie was such a laid back bride.  I  loved her traditional style and I am waiting – not very patiently I might add –  to see the photos that Jessica and crew from Hayes and Fisk Photography were snapping!”

And hearing stories like that from the glammies makes me so happy!  I  know how much trust is put in us by these brides. It is such a momentous event and the people you surround yourself with on you wedding day can make all the difference and I  am so thankful that so many women decide to spend that day with our team and I  am even more thankful of the friendships that form from the very beginning of the bride’s trial appointment up until their wedding day and long after.
