Kaitlyn, tell us how you got started in this industry and what inspires you!

I have been doing hair for 8 years. And I love it more everyday. I kind of just fell into the industry. I did a friends wedding and fell in love with the atmosphere, people, and the creativity. When I first started doing hair I hated doing updos. I thought they were boring and repetitive. But now I love it!! It’s a whole other area that we get to showcase our creativity. It’s such a great feeling to be in a field that you absolutely LOVE. I get inspired by other artists. Seeing how they do things differently and learning from them at the same time. It’s nice that you can continuously learn just by working alongside other talented people.

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I have been married to my best friend for 2 years. We have been together for almost 8. Together we have a beautiful 5 year old spunky little girl named Jaycee Jo. She is the best thing that ever happened to us. We also have an Australian Shepard named Bella. She’s pretty great too!
